Yazoo Mills to build Hanover-area facility

By Brent Burkey

Adams County-based paper tubes and cores manufacturer Yazoo Mills Inc. plans to break ground this spring on a 45,000-square-foot facility in the Hanover area, according to the company's website.

Yazoo Mills expects to finish building the manufacturing and warehousing facility by December, according to the site.

When completed, the New Oxford-based company will operate two facilities totaling about 195,000 square feet. The company started in 1902 in Yazoo City, Miss., before moving to the New Oxford area.

It produces an average of 2.5 million inches of tubing per day and serves about 15,000 customers in industries such as labeling, printing, packaging, medical supplies and graphic arts, according to its website.
